About Kamarajar

Perunthalaivar K. Kamarajar dedicated his life to education and public service. His vision continues to inspire our school community.

Humble Beginnings

Born in 1903 in Virudhunagar, Kamarajar rose from a modest family to become one of Tamil Nadu's most beloved leaders through hard work and integrity.

Freedom Fighter

He actively participated in India's freedom struggle, enduring imprisonment and hardship while remaining committed to the nation's independence.

Chief Minister

As Chief Minister of Madras State (1954–1963), he transformed Tamil Nadu through irrigation projects, industrial growth, and honest governance.

Education for All

His landmark mid-day meal scheme and free education initiatives opened school doors for thousands of children across the state.

Enduring Legacy

Known as Perunthalaivar (Great Leader), his simple living and people-first approach remain a guiding light for generations.
